What You Need to Play
To play their downloaded content, customers simply insert their SD-card into any device (such as a television or computer) that has a secure SD memory card reader and related player software.
More devices are becoming tested and certified to play movies in GreenPlay format every month, including a growing number of TVs, mobile devices, computers, digital media players, game consoles, DVD players and so on. Once certified, the devices will feature a GreenPlay-compatible logo. (MOD Systems offers a comprehensive GreenPlay SDK for consumer device manufacturers to expedite the development cycle.)

Playback Today
To accelerate the use of Download2Go kiosks in retail and jumpstart customer adoption, MOD Systems has created two devices—the GreenPlay SD Card Reader and GreenPlay Digital Media Player—that instantly enable your customers to play video in GreenPlay format from an SD card on any PC and television. You can sell these devices near the kiosks to give your customers a one-stop, convenient entertainment experience.
For music, tracks are in DRM-free MP3 format and can be played on any of the millions of MP3-compatible devices, including iPods and iPhones.
All SD Cards and Readers Are Not The Same
Just
because a consumer electronics device has a SD slot does not necessarily mean it can play video in GreenPlay format. Not all SD card slots can read “secure” SD files. In order to view GreenPlay content, the device’s SD card slot must be able to read secure SD card files and the device will need custom firmware from the manufacturer.
