MOD Systems’ Anthony Bay to Speak at 2008 PEVE Digital Entertainment Conference
Bay to Discuss Retail Opportunity at Leading European Video Industry EventApril 1st, 2008 - Seattle
MOD Systems, an industry-leading provider of media-on-demand solutions for retailers, today announced that co-founder and executive chairman Anthony Bay will speak at the 2008 PEVE Digital Entertainment Conference in Paris, April 17-18, 2008.
The session, titled “The Role of On-Demand Media in Extending the Long Tail” will explore how media-on-demand systems can offer retailers a way to reach niche audiences in the face of increasing pressure on retail shelf space. It will also discuss the viability of in-store DVD burning. Bay will address the opportunity for retailers to use media-on-demand solutions that give shoppers a unique in-store experience, allowing consumers to access and experience a wide variety of digital entertainment content.
“This is a premier event attracting some of the biggest and best players in the European video industry,” said Anthony Bay, executive chairman and co-founder of MOD Systems. “We’re fundamentally changing the way consumers shop for and buy entertainment content in retail. We look forward to collaborating with new counterparts at this event.”
Since 1992, the PEVE conference has been the leading event in the European video industry's calendar. This unique gathering has provided an independent forum at which video industry executives can mingle with their counterparts from other countries and discuss the key issues facing their business in a relaxed and constructive manner. In 2007 Screen Digest, which has compiled the PEVE programme for many years, acquired the rights to the conference, with the intention of expanding it into a truly international event.
