MOD Systems Joins the Store of the Future at EMA’s Digital Media Day

Anthony Bay to Speak about Digital Retail Business Models at Premier Home Entertainment Conference
June 2nd, 2008 - Seattle

MOD Systems, an industry-leading provider of media-on-demand solutions for retailers, today announced it will be featured in the "Store of the Future" at the upcoming Entertainment Merchant Association's (EMA) Home Media Expo June 24-26 in Las Vegas. MOD Systems executive chairman and co-founder Anthony Bay will also speak at the event about new digital retail business models on June 26 during EMA's Digital Media Day.

The session, titled "Digital Retail Business Models," will explore how retailers are using digital media systems to differentiate against competitors and market in new ways to consumers. Bay will address the opportunity for retailers to use media-on-demand solutions that give shoppers a unique in-store experience, allowing consumers to quickly buy entertainment in a standard, portable format. Bay will also discuss how hybrid online and in-store systems enable retailers to play a major role in entertainment content distribution, ultimately increasing sales, reducing physical inventory, and better meeting the needs of today's consumer.

MOD Systems will also be featured in the Home Media Expo's "Store of the Future" designed to highlight some of the retail industry's most innovative entertainment solutions. MOD Systems will demonstrate its media-on-demand platform for retailers, including the MOD POD interactive touchscreen kiosk. MOD Systems' open platform handles all aspects of managing, merchandising and fulfilling digital media. It supports all distribution scenarios including manufacturing on demand, delivery in optical or digital format, and hybrid online and in-store systems.

"This is the place to be for anyone interested in new ways to tap the home entertainment market," said Anthony Bay, executive chairman and co-founder, MOD Systems. "Retailers continue to be the primary channel for entertainment sales and there is a tremendous opportunity to leverage new digital distribution models that radically change the way consumers shop for and buy content in retail. We look forward to participating in this year's Store of the Future."

EMA's Home Media Expo is the premier networking industry event for buyers, entertainment retailers, suppliers, distributors and sellers of home entertainment content and products. EMA's Home Media Expo 2008 includes Digital Media Day for technology providers and retailers focused on digital content.
