Tetsuya Kato Chief Executive Officer, MOD Systems - Japan

Tetsuya Kato heads up MOD System's Japan subsidiary, overseeing the company's strategic efforts in sales, development and operations, bringing 15 years of experience from Toshiba Corporation.

Prior to joining MOD in April 2009, Kato served as Assistant to General Manager in the New Business Promotion Department at Toshiba. In this position, he was responsible for planning and executing the MOD project within Toshiba. He previously served as President and CEO of Toshiba Entertainment Incorporated, which is a wholly owned subsidiary created after Toshiba acquired Amuse Pictures Corporation in 2003. Also while at Toshiba, Kato served as a Senior Manager in the Media and Content Division where he played a key role in key role in incubating content related business and established various joint ventures with Japanese content players.

Kato has a Bachelor of Science and Economics at Kona University in Kobe Japan, and a Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Management Science from the University of California at Riverside. He also holds a Master Black Belt at Six Sigma Academy.
